More poems about Gifts

        SOMETHING SPECIAL
There is something very special deep inside
Every human being, many talents we do hide,
It’s up to us to find them, not leave them lying
Latent all quiet there, then those talents share.

Seek and ye shall find, the truth has been told,
So seek and find your talent before you are old.
If people say they have no gifts with others to share,
That is not true for God would not be that unfair.

All of us have gifts to share with others around,
Not obvious gifts like art or voice of sweet sound,
But the gifts of love and kindness or a radiant smile,
The gifts of understanding, being patient all the while.

The gift of flowing words in poetry or sweet letter,
The gift of wanting to know some people much better,
The ability to make sad folks feel happiness again,
To sit with someone and sooth away their cruel pain.

Find the special gifts that are buried deep inside of you,
Ask the Lord to help you seek and develop things new,
Remember the parable of the talents Jesus told to all,
So seek and find those special gifts what may befall.
