POSITIVE MENTAL ATTITUDE

One gift the Lord has given me, one I really appreciate,
Is a positive mental attitude, a cheerful remark I can make
Even on the worst day when the rain in pouring down,
Even the little ducks think they may all soon drown.

There is always something good to find as we live each day,
The fact we are up and breathing, is something good to say,
The car may break down on the highway, a snow storm blow
Not one car stops to help you, nowhere for you to go.

As you say a prayer begging for a little help from above,
An answer will come somehow from our God of love.
If you are prepared and you can keep fed and warm,
No harm will come to you if you have to wait until dawn.

However bad a day may be, there will be a silver lining,
However long and dark a night, there will be a dawning,
However much pain you are in, there is someone who cares,
However lonely you feel, God always answers your prayers.

There is no need to be a pessimist this makes life all wrong,
Look on the bright side and always sing a happy song,
Live life and love well, accept what the Lord sends to you
And life will be always wonderful every day through.
