A SISTER OF MY OWN.

Ever since I was little, I’ve wanted a sister for my own,
Mom and dad only had me, I was always quite alone.
Every night I’d pray that one day a sister would be mine,
One that I could chat to, doing things together would be fine.
Then one day I married that worlds most wonderful man
And along with the love package, believe it if you can,
My prayers for a sister answered, younger, that did not matter.
One day we would be close, walk along and just chatter.
And now I have my sister, and true joy fills my heart
For when she comes to visit it is so hard for us to part,
Walks by the lake and around the malls, sight seeing too.
Whether in pouring rain or when the sky is a vivid blue,
We just love being together, doing things for fun.
The days go past much too fast to get all the things done.
But now I have my sister, one that’s royal and true,
It’s brought us all close together, for that’s what love can do.
