PHOTOGRAPH ALBUMS

Rows and rows of them on the shelf,
Albums of every shape and size.
Some going back to brown and white,
Each one at the time a great prize.

Sometimes we finger through them,
Sometimes laugh and sometimes cry
At the memories in these treasures,
Name them, you’ll forget as time goes by.

Baby pictures held in a loved ones arms,
Which one is it ? You try so hard to think,
It is not so easy so many years after.
So gently write on them with indelible ink.

Preserve each photograph that is taken
Of family and friends for whom you care,
For when they leave this frail life forever,
Many happy memories will still be there.
