A SLEEPLESS NIGHT
Rest would not come to my weary body and active mind,
No position in bed could any rest or comfort find,
Tossing and turning seemed such a waste of my time
So I arose from my bed for my mind was full of rhyme,
And I felt as peace as the words flowed with such ease,
My fingers worked fast, racing over the computer keys,
Now as the last one is written and my mind is all clear
And I may rest, its almost time for daylight to draw near.
But I will now lie down and try to sleep for awhile,
Then blow the cobwebs away by walking a mile.
So if you toss and turn in bed through the night,
Dont waste the time, work with all your might,
Do something useful that wont make much noise
And then sleeplessness will never be a thing that annoys .
