IF THERE WERE NO
If there were no warm rays of sunshine,
In forests no sweet smell of the pine,
If no scent of flowers on the breeze
Or a whispering wind in the trees .
No birds singing a plaintive melody
What a doleful place this world would be.
If no silver moon gliding across the sky,
Or no bright night stars to be guided by,
No tall green grass with horses grazing,
No pristine lakes with waves lapping,
No happy laughter of children at play,
How dismal and long would be each day.
If there were no symphonies for us to hear
No stirring hymn to turn away our fear,
No sound of a stream going off to the sea,
No pretty flowers to feed the busy bee,
If there was nothing to make you feel glad,
Living, to me would be very hard and sad.
Although life would be hard to live my dear,
As long as I have you I will have no fear,
For eternal love cannot from us be taken,
Although all the earth maybe hurt and shaken,
Even if all nature fade, as long as you are mine
Holding hands and praying everything will be fine.
