LOVE THEM ANYWAY
The Master taught a lesson that is not easy to do,
His words were for all men, all the world through,`
He told it many times and in many different ways,
Always love thy neighbour and all men all thy days.
Some folks are easy to love, always good and kind,
Others can be quite a pain, then love is hard to find,
But love them anyway, are the words we should say,
Bitterness and anger deep in a heart should not stay.
However cruel people may be, however hard the blow,
Even though your heart is breaking, Gods love show,
Think of the words of Jesus when He was crucified,
Father forgive them that is pure love personified.
A dear friend betrays you, a child does hurtfully rebel
And from your grace, love and favour that child fell,
A workmate lies and cheats you, robs you blind,
To be really Christlike His love we should find.
If we love them anyway a sweet peace will gently flow,
And a radiance will be with you everywhere you go,
Jesus said, love all men and I will be your true friend
A wonderful gift for us as we endure and love to the end.
