TOGETHERNESS
There are many types of togetherness
As on through life we onward press,
But the ones with which we start and end,
They’re the ones on whom we always depend.

Togetherness with parents and you the child,
Growing in love and rich kindness so mild,
Where there is trust and sweet fellowship
And a helping hand when we sometimes slip.

Then there is togetherness of true friendship,
The bonding that the heart can really grip,
The ones you remember when old and grey,
Will remember them until your dying day.

Then comes togetherness as your family starts,
A loving couple have the same beating hearts,
Then the first picture starts all over again
As togetherness of your own family you gain.

Togetherness is unity, striving for all good things
And the joy and comfort that togetherness brings,
If you think of the others first, both family and friend,
You’ll have a togetherness which heaven does depend.
