HARD TO BE A MOTHER
It’s hard to be a mother, one that is strong and true,
One that will be a good example all her life through.
A mother who shows constant love when all goes wrong,
Who is always ready with a loving word or a happy song.

Its hard to be a mother who never yells or screams,
Then wake up cheerful in the night to sooth a child who dreams,
She can make a home a comfort and a safety zone,
A place that everyone wants always to call their home.

Its hard to be a mother who is striving for heaven above,
A mother who wants to give true unconditional love,
But, oh, the joy that must come to a mother who stays true,
Who has the strength to live a Christ like life all her life through.
