WHERE THE VEIL IN THIN
Sometimes in young children, the veil in very thin,
Their memories of heaven and the people therein
Are fresh and sweet, say things that touch the heart,
And so great knowledge and wisdom often impart.

One day talking about Jesus, my son to his child,
Explained that Jesus lived in temples, she smiled,
Her eyes bright with love and sweet remembering
She said to her loving parents a very special thing.

“I remember Jesus, I sat one day on His knee,
Held me close, kissed me, said goodbye to me,”
What a wonderful memory to earth to bring,
I am sure she still hears the angels sweetly sing.

I wonder how long before the veil closes tight
And we cannot remember the sounds or sight
Of the time we lived in our heavenly home
Before our turn came on earth to roam.

We should stop and listen to little children
Who may still remember a little bit of heaven,
Do not scoff if with angels they may seem to play,
But gaze at that angelic face at the end of a busy day.

Knowing we are partners in our Father’s plan
Bringing up His children dear the best we can,
Envelope them in love treat them with tender care
And we will have angels in our home somewhere.
