CHILDREN
Their chatter, their laughter, their charm,
Who could ever wish to try and harm
These treasures, these precious gifts
Given to us, our little joys that lifts
Us when we are down, happy smiles
That put love light into parents eyes.
Watch them as they play in harmony,
The smaller ones sitting on your knee.
Holding a sticky hand going for a walk,
Trying to translate their garbled baby talk.
Everyone home should have a few around,
So that love and harmony in the home be found,
Even when your children are left and gone,
The grandchildren start coming one by one.
Children that are loving and sweet and kind,
Are that example we need, sweet heaven to find.
