FAMILY GET TOGETHER
Will there be enough food?
some chairs we can borrow,
a family get together at last,
they’ll all be here tomorrow.

How many that I don’t know
will come through the door?
It’s good to have a family
that grows more and more.

There’ll be many tears of joy
flowing as loved ones meet,
and the love of new faces
that we will all greet.

Think of the love and laughter,
all the remembering
that a family get together
always seems to bring.

One or two may be missing
from our happy throng,
but we will remember them
in laughter and in song.

Then one by one they leave,
leaving memories behind,
memories that will linger
in every heart and mind.
