A FAMILY VISIT
Oh, what a wonderful feeling to have them all around,
The laughter and the chatter, such a pleasing sound,
To have the grandchild makes us want to shout for joy,
There’s nothing at this moment that could annoy.

There is the comfortable silence, it speaks of harmony,
The feeling of the children on a grandparents knee,
The laughter that fills each heart with happiness,
Love that flows free is hard for us to express.

Look at us together, building memories strong and true,
Loving memories of the joyous things we now do.
It does not matter what activity, or where we go,
We are a close family growing stronger, we know.

Gathered together for a time not wanting it to end,
So making the most of every moment we spend
Sweetly together in a bond of everlasting love,
Growing ever closer, ready for eternal realms above.

Now as we continue, as our different ways we go,
The bonding will go on, for we love each other so.
Though parting will have sorrow, joyous memories are ours
To remember and talk about for many long hours.
