I WAS THERE
Have you ever sat waited for a baby to be born?
Seen the mother struggle, in labour since early morn,
Just being there for encouragement and comfort,
Watching a mighty battle being bravely fought.
There is not much you can do, just be there,
Then she knows you love and you really care,
Then the moment comes and a sound is heard,
The crying of the baby, noone can speak a word.
Then the time for rejoicing and tears of pure joy,
No one really minds whether its a girl or a boy.
Then the darling daughter is placed in open arms
And fear and pain all fly away, everyone feels calm.
I was there that evening when life come from above,
Bringing another spirit to be raised in joy and love,
Heaven and earth rejoiced and true peace was found
As everyone listened to the crying, what a lovely sound.
