LET GO
Do we hang on to the things that are bad,
Things that makes ones heart heavy and sad.
Things that stunt the growth of spirit and mind,
Stunt growth of love or even stop us being kind?

Let go of resentment, throw the thoughts right away,
Stop our hearts from corroding all through each day,
Feel the relief when resentment we at last let go,
Burdens will be lightened a new face we will show.

Let go of anger and all the frustration that it brings,
Two killers of love and many others truly good things,
For anger can smoulder and then just burst into hate,
Not one heart should ever know that cruel, harsh fate.

Let go of the desires that will lead us all astray,
Be in control of life as we tread along life’s way,
For uncontrolled desires can not only destroy you,
Others as well, some folks that we never even knew.

Let go of the pain from our hurts and heartache,
Let go of pain for our own true sanity’s sake,
Let go for those you who love us and share our pain,
Learn how to laugh and smile, be happy again.

But most of all please let go of our arrogant pride,
For from a proud heart most people want to hide,
It stops us receiving true affection from another,
And progress of ones self completely does smother.

So let go of these things that well in each heart,
Resentment, anger, frustration, doing our part
To the remove pain and pride, live life and be well,
If we throw away these vices our hearts will swell.
