More poems about Rain.

        THE WEATHER MAN
Sometimes the weather man is just about right
And what he says often comes into our sight,
But today, so far, I think he has it all wrong
We were told it would rain nearly all day long.

This morning the clouds were high passing fast,
And there was plenty of blue sky not overcast,
So we went for our walk early to beat the rain,
We are still waiting for the clouds to come again.

He said it would be warm, the wind he forgot all about
For you had to wear a sweater when you needed to go out,
The sky is showing no signs of the rain that is to fall,
Maybe later on our rain visitor may give us a call.

The dust needs laying, the rain barrel needs a refill,
The flowers are beginning to droop and they will
Until the gentle rain does fall to brighten the day,
But there must be a good reason why it stays away.
