TWO HORSE FRIENDS
A short while ago a wonderful story came my way,
And I remember the message it sent every single day,
Twas of two horses romping in a field with horse-like fun,
At least that is how this meaningful tale had first begun.
In the distance two normal horses friendly as they could be,
It was not until you came close you saw one could not see,
The blind glassy stare that you know lets in no colour or light,
But the other horse you saw that his eyes shone quite bright.
The seeing horse had bells around his neck to direct his friend,
You see him lift his head to listen and on his friend depend,
As read this of an owner who would not have him put to sleep
But found a way to let him live tears to my eyes did creep.
It is just like our loving Father who will not cast us aside
When we become in need of help, He will send us a guide,
Then I thought as the story went on which one are we today,
Do we need to be gently led or is it our t urn to lead the way.
All through life we all have things we need to do through each day,
Whether we are the leaders who need help others find their way,
Or like the blind horse humbly, gladly and blindly listen and obey,
For love of Father above both are needed for in His presence to stay.
