More poems about Food.
WHATS FOR LUNCH?
What shall we have for Lunch today? Dinner
is already started,
A nice bowl of stew, really good to help
the fainted hearted,
Fill us up with goodness and warmth right
down to the end of the toes,
But we need a snack for lunch what do
you propose?
Maybe a sandwich or a bowl of soup to
fill a space,
But neither of these ideas put a happy
smile on my face.
A grilled cheese sandwich will pile up
the cholesterol too high,
A salad does not appeal when winter is
still passing by.
A nice English pancake sounds too good
to be true
And again the Cholesterol count in this
I may ever rue.
So I suppose that a bowl of soup and a
salt-free cracker
Will have to do, at least we have good food and
that really does matter.
