THE RECIPE
For years I have tried to write down my Yorkshire pudding recipe,
Because I have always measured in smidgins and glugs you see,
Many times I’ve been asked and I found it very hard to tell,
Well this morning I did it and I wrote it right down as well.

Tomorrow is pot-luck at church so I tried so very hard
To measure everything properly wrote it on a little card,
Then came to the computer and it is all written and saved
And many can have the recipe as for this dish they craved.

I don’t know what happened but those Yorkies rose so high,
I thought that a magic wand had waved and I gave a happy sigh,
Maybe it was trying to write all the amounts down just right
Sent the batter into shock and appeared so extra fluffy and light.
