A SPOUSAL RELATIONSHIP
A lot of people often make a very common mistake,
They say that a relationship is an equal give and take,
But a true love will give of themselves that 100% each day
And never think of receiving anything back in any way.
As you think of true love, the one that will last forevermore,
Selfishness will get up and walk through the nearest door,
No ‘I want’ will mar or worry those who are all around
For you will be too giving and more sweet love is found.
Your spouse is a person you want to live with in heaven above,
So we need to learn of the true deep meaning of that kind of love,
As you look and see this souls mate that will be one day divine,
Treat them well for they are God’s children so very good and fine.
Look into those eyes, let your heart melt softly with good thoughts,
If anger comes to cruelly taunt you then control will be brought,
Instead of lashing out, say something nice or quiet try to be,
For it takes two to argue and to yourself it won’t start with me.
True eternal love will conquer and deep love will always win
Over angry conflict and over thoughts of uncontrolled sin,
Give of yourself and eternal blessing you on earth will find
And that love will last forever in both hearts and in each mind.
