FOR MY DEAREST HUSBAND BOB
How blessed I am to have a husband who is gentle and kind,
A kinder person I am sure would be so very hard to find,
Tender hands, healing hands, helping hands you own,
Caring for those who are dying, longing for heavens throne.
They love you my darling, they need you day by precious day,
As they waiting for sweet, kind death to surely come their way.
How many words of comfort have you so very sweetly spoken
To ease their pain and heart ache, smoothed those all broken.
The hospice is a haven of peace when those who there serve
Give of themselves everyday and some praise they deserve,
So on this blessed holiday may my thanks ring loud and clear,
For you my special angel, to our Master are always very near.
