THE PROPHETS OF OLD
To help prepare mankind for His great coming one day,
Father in Heaven sent many prophets to boldly say
He will come to save us from pain and from sin,
Yet He will be despised and die the victory to win.
Many names they called Him to prepare for the time
When would be born the Son of God pure and divine,
The old testament and the Book Of Mormon as well
Sent the message to all in their heart to safely dwell.
Yet How many heeded Isaiah, Job, Nephi and Alma too,
And all the others that proclaimed of the coming so true,
Were they just too human and worldly to try and understand,
Most people persecuted them or sent them from the land.
Read the Old testament and the Book Of Mormon as well
And on those prophetic words wisely and continually dwell,
For too soon, by the things that we see, He will come again
On this earth in triumph the rule and with glory to reign.
