MINCE PIES
We are going to a party on this
Friday night,
They want me to bring mince pies
for a bite
For afters, not a main course feast
to make,
Just my good mince pies to
carefully bake,
I have just completed the task, I
hope they last,
The mince pie taster says they’ve
past the test,
The pastry light and fluffy, the filling
just right,
In fact laid out on the table they are
quite a sight.
Maybe the guests at the party may not get
many at all
Unless I hide them before some friends give
us a call.
