GOODIES LASTING LONGER
One thing we have noticed now the two of us are alone,
We spend quite a lot of time on the net and on the phone,
But one thing is the fact that cookies don’t walk away,
But last a long time, not nearly all gone in one day.
Home made bread makes it to the freezer, a quite change
I must admit, goodies includes types of a very wide range,
Chocolate chunk cookies even manage to stay a week,
But mouths to come and gobble them we do seek.
Apple pies stay around but the egg custards just go,
If anyone comes who likes them it will have to grow,
It is quite hard to try and make a smaller lump of dough,
Either for bread, cake or cookies to make a little show.
So if you come to visit us and goodies you will find
Some kind of goodies, whatever’s on your mind.
Friends and family are welcome any time at all,
Just lift the latch and enter in and give a little call.
