PLEASE BE A FRIEND
I know you have lots of friends, always been together,
Stood by each other’s side strong in all types of weather,
Through storm tossed day and some days of great ease
And I can appreciate the bonds you share with these.
But some of us feel lonely left out alone in the cold,
A need for a bonded friendship, a welcome to the fold,
I know none of you are mean, don’t need another friend,
Please stretch out a hand so that on you we can depend.
We try to smile and chat awhile, that’s the right thing to do,
We know you are busy with callings both old and new,
Stop awhile and think all the kindness you can bestow,
If to us new sisters some gospel love want to show.
