POEMS IN MY HEAD |
Theres a poem or two in my head, but I need to cook a meal,
Now I have just had a request so my brain started to reel,
Thoughts are flying everywhere and I must be getting old,
For at one time poem thoughts went where they were old.
Little compartments in my head to keep things straight,
Then one by one they all came out as I did meditate,
But today they are being disobedient, thoughts everywhere,
And at the pile of things to cook I just stand and stare.
So with a sheet of paper and a pointed pencil or a pen
Ill pop ideas down whilst cooking and then when
The ideas start to flow I can jot them quickly down,
Hoping that dinner will not spoil so make me frown.
Dinner and three poems and other ideas too are there
On the paper that I so cleverly placed about everywhere.
Now here comes another flood of ideas to write about,
Now brain compartments have opened with joy I shout.
Maybe my brain will go on working for a little while,
Its better than scraps of paper gathered in a sticky pile,
Yes, chaos is vanishing sweet clarity comes to my mind
As into different parts of my head for all the ideas I find.
