TO MY DEAR MOTHER-IN-LAW AND
DEAR FRIEND
THELMA SNARR NEILSEN
There are no words fine enough to sing praises to you my dear,
Your every little action tells that to the Master you are so near,
All your life you have strived to be Christ-like in every way,
As you serve now, like before, you work hard every single day.
A teacher of small children and still your dear heart does glow
As you remember how much you loved so many years ago.
The way you cared for your husband with love and caring,
A glow of angels around you heavens blessing always sharing.
You cook better than a high paid chef and give food away,
Work at the temple and to many a great comfort and stay,
A light that warms a sad heart and calms away all fear
When you are close by, we know that God is also near.
Willingly served a mission and although not your style,
Still did family history always wanting to go the extra mile,
Your love is boundless and affects all to be good and true,
I know that the Dear Lord is so very pleased with you.
All the family love you and need you a awhile to stay,
Brothers, us, and grandchildren often continue to pray
That you will have the will and strength to still carry on,
Being a good friend and example until your journey is done.
