EARLY MORNING SEMINARY
It is really fun being a seminary teacher in
the early morn,
When the students arrive preferring their
beds all warm,
Eye lids barely open, not to let in knowledge
and the light,
Some of them are almost dressed, some
made it alright.
The feeling that I am teaching zombies often
comes to mind,
Yet to my surprise the students have learned
much I find,
Scriptures they can quote and find them
with great speed,
When all the time I thought most of them were
not taking heed,
When I ask a question sometimes I hear a
soft groan,
It meant a hand had to go up or lift up a
head to moan.
Seeing the student all sleepy makes each teachers
want to smile,
So they want to work hard and go that extra
long mile.
Yet I have notices on seminary breakfast
special day
All the students are wide awake and much
energy display.
I love each one of you and you sleepily try
and stay awake,
And I know you will remember and much
wisdom take
Into the wold around and you have learned
about discipline.
So through all the trials of life you all have the
strength to win.
