        MESSY DESK
At the moment my desk is quite a mess
But I know were things are more or less,
I know it needs a tidy, put things away,
Then I would no be ashamed in any way

Straighten the books go through the pile
Of papers saved, then for a little while
Do nothing as I read, can’t throw any out,
Enough to make me want to scream and shout.

Put the map pins away, the pencils and pens,
The thank you cards and notes people send,
Remove the cat collar and her leash as well,
Now where shall I put them I cannot really tell.

E-mail that’s important to help me with ideas
Have to stay close by, tissues for colds and tears,
Note books and letters as well can’t be far away,
For if put away I’ll need them the very next day.

At lease the mouse and the keyboard are quite free
And I can clearly see the screen plain as it can be,
If I just put a few things away it may look better,
But will I be bound in lost things like a fetter.

So if you come to visit and my untidy desk see
Please close your eyes because I think I’ll let it be,
For things are handy and the things I may change
Maybe a poem or two less will not be in my range.
