MAGNOLIA TREES
A wonderful sight in early spring are the
magnificent magnolia trees,
Covered in marvellous blossoms, see then swaying
in the cool breeze,
A mixture of colours, some are white others
purple or sweet pink,
They brighten up the dull wet days of
cool early spring,
I am sure they encourage all the birds
to start to sing.
But there is a disadvantage to this rather
spectacular flower,
It can be very messy when all the petals
start falling hour by hour.
They can cover a green lawn with carpets
of white, purple and pink,
And the bravest of gardening hearts may
begin to sink.
I love to see those trees, but in someone
elses nice yard,
For I am not sure I would have the energy
to work that hard.
