        BEING HEALTHY
Sometimes my blood pressure is very low,
And my heart hardly beats, my pulse very slow,
I feel like a block of ice and I’m dizzy all the time,
I really wish that I could control this health of mine.

If I get very busy then my suborn heart begins to race,
And I have to stop what I’m doing, go at a slower pace,
I used to be fit, bench press and work out quite hard,
But after being really sick I can’t even tidy the yard.

I don’t think it’s because I’m well turned 70 now,
For to old age or even infirmities I will never bow,
Slow down because I have to but I will never give in,
To not die with my shoes on for me would be a sin.

So please friend do not tell me to go and rest awhile,
But encourage me to carry on with a happy smile,
I will not be discouraged but struggle to the end,
For I am not the sort of person hours in bed to spend.
