FATHER WITH A CHILD
I saw a photograph of a father with a child,
Tenderly holding his new baby so mild,
The full fathers face I could not quite see
But a tear was on his cheek flowing free.
The tiny babe clutched his large finger
As if the newcomer was glad to linger
In these safe and tender arms of love
Remembering the caring just left above.
Then one day my youngest son was there,
Holding his new baby with gentle care,
A tear also flowing down his noble face,
To me a picture of Gods everlasting grace.
Parents and children bound in Gods love
Are preparing for a heavenly home above,
Loving parents and children full of joy,
Whether they be a little girl of a boy.
