More poems about Food

        SALT FREE DIET
Low fat, low cholesterol is really bad enough,
But to put no salt on some edible good stuff
Is to me so very cruel, nothing tastes right at all,
It does not bother me if I don’t hear the dinner call,

But the other day to a Relief Society party I went,
The meal cooked was really almost heaven sent,
The meat was tasty and so tender, but, oh dear me,
All the lovely food had been salted quite liberally.

I gobbled down the tasty dish, I realized I should stop
Before my silly heart should beat too fast and pop!
One more mouthful was a silly thing for me to do,
For I suffered hard and long a night and day through.

From now on I will be good, from salt turn away,
Do as I am told so I can live for another new day,
No fancy restaurants, just salt free meals at home
And until my heart improves, in cafes do not roam.
