        MIXED UP MEAL
The other day we had friends over for a meal,
Roast beef, Yorkshire pudding, the whole deal,
Followed by a nice desert with custard as well,
They ate, really enjoyed the meal we could tell.

The family got a real surprise quite different to see,
A leftover Yorkshire pud with custard poured on liberally
We all pulled our faces at the combination that was there,
He said it was great, this new dish he wanted to share.

If I cook a batter in a light tasting oil one special day
And don’t let any meat drippings come it’s way
I may try this dish with warm running jam so sweet,
Then I’d have to make two batches of my special treat.
