A SNOBBISH STRANGER
One friend calls him an Artist,
another a Cavalier,
A stranger from the continent who
many would fear,
Maybe an upstart who got his riches
by some ill means ,
Someone you may think about in your
wildest dreams.
Is that his real hair under that wide
rimmed hat?
Perhaps he is a preacher man I had
not thought of that,
Does he wear a snobbish gaze or a holier
than thou glance,
Or just a rich traveller just come across
from France.
