More poems about GGrand Dads Drawings

        BEING CARVED
Total relaxation, a perfect resting pose,
So easy to write a simple poem or prose,
Would she be immortalized in cool marble
Or at granite would the people marvel?

Maybe this is the final art not real at all,
So life-like all want to touch her or call,
The natural curve of shoulder and head,
Just resting awhile before off to her bed.

The drapes of the robe almost change
As you look at her in a different range,
Did those eye lids flutter, did she sigh,
Wanted to move her legs, needed to lie?

I think she is real, dreaming where she’ll be,
In some famous home or a dismal library ,
Maybe an art gallery or bid for by the king,
Now wouldn’t that be a wonderful thing.
