MANY A SUNSET
I have seen many a wonderful,
magnificent sunset,
Been swept into silent awe by what my
unsure eyes met,
Then as the afterglow shone bright it filled
me with peace,
A breeze a kiss from heaven I never wanted
to ever cease.
Each sunset twas as if heaven had
come here below
And a pure, perfect pathway back to
my God did show.
In the photo album of my mind those
scenes every stay,
I close my eyes and remember them
every time I pray.
Cast aside the cares and worries of a
harsh busy day,
Especially when a glorious sunset
comes your way,
Paint the view deep within the crevices
of your soul
And you may just get a glimpse of heaven,
your eternal goal.
