FEELING USELESS
When you have always been active
Been helpful every day that you live,
Never moped around even when sick,
You just give yourself a friendly kick.
Then comes a time when you are so ill
Even walking weariness you does fill,
You feel all useless, no good at all,
So very hopeless you just want to bawl.
For my mind finds it hard to understand
That for awhile I must rest, not lend a hand,
Receive for little awhile and let others give,
Sit back and rest so a little longer I can live.
Accept the help that is given with a smile,
Watch others grow as they go the extra mile,
Ill not get discouraged, my strength will return,
And sweet patience at last my heart may learn.
