FASTING AND PRAYER
When we combine fasting with earnest prayer
The power of God will be found right there,
Showing His will clearly along life’s way,
Showering you with blessings every day.

To fast and pray for a purpose is a great thing,
We draw close to the spirit, hearts want to sing,
If done en-mass our hearts will beat like one
If some great task needs to be safely overcome.

Or we need to pray for rain or the sun to shine,
A child dying, we fasted to help her to feel fine.
The faith promoting act of fasting joined with prayer,
Enables us to feel of His love and know He is there.

We know He can move mountains, have the rain fall,
Calm the raging sea and hear His children call,
But while we show our faith let us not ever forget
The answers is up to Him and maybe it is not yet.

When we fast and pray with hearts that are sincere
The answer will come, of that we should have no fear,
But along with these actions trust in Him should dwell,
Keep the faith and be strong and in time all will be well.
