A LADYS PURSE
They come in all different shapes and sizes,
yet bottomless they seem to be,
I am sure most men must find them to
be a total strange mystery.
Do you have a bandaid someone says,
in there one is found
Somewhere in that strange place things hide
all quite safe and sound.
A safety pin, a button, candy and maybe some
loose change as well,
Be careful how you put your hand inside,
for you can never tell
What may be lying deeply hidden in
a purse of any size,
Leave it alone please, or you may be
in for a great surprise.
Always pens and a note book, make up
and a manicure set,
Emergency pills well buried just in case
a tummy gets upset.
In two weeks on a plane we have
to take a short flight,
Id better clear my purse out or security
will throw it out of sight,
But there is so much good stuff that is
very hard to throw away,
Ill just buy a new one and keep that one
for every special day.
But soon that new one will get cluttered
up with treasures galore,
I must admit that my husbands thinks I
carry a walking store.
