DRIVING ALONG THE HIGHWAY
Driving along the highway many fast cars you see,
Going slow in the heavy traffic just like you and me,
Ferrari, Corvette and Jaguar their speed they have to hide,
But you must admit, sitting there they have an air of pride.

Its bad enough in an ordinary car just to sit and wait,
Especially when going slow or stopping will make you late,
But when the traffic eases, the big battle at last won,
That’s when these sporty cars go for a very fast run.

You get above the speed limit cruising happily along,
Keeping up or going a little faster than the average throng,
Those fast cars can go in the blink of an eye,
There is no way the average car could pass them by.

That is unless the police are there with a radar gun,
Keen eyes watching for cars on a very fast run,
They wave them to stop, give out a hefty fine,
But I bet the policeman thinks ‘I wish this was mine’.

If I had a fast car in trouble I would often be,
Maybe get to be suspended, not driving permanently,
The Zoom Zoom kid would be knocked off his feet
If ever I landed in a really fast cars driving seat.
