More poems about our children
TO PHILIP ON
FATHERS DAY.
Dear Phil on this day we want to tell you what
a good dad you would be.
A little strict but so caring and kind and
fun loving as can be.
I can see you hold your child, brand new
from heaven above,
Those kind eyes of yours filled with a special
fathers love.
See you holding hands as maybe you fly a
handmade kite
Feel the wonder of the child still holding on the
kite out of sight.
Playing games at a birthday party, wanting
to share the fun.
Yes Phil fatherhood is in you, there so very
deep and strong,
I bet you would have managed to sing a
sweet lullaby song.
It is still not too late, or maybe in heaven
your turn will come,
Grasp onto the truth and light eternal and
you may find a battle won.
