         WOODED HILLS
Lovely wooded rolling hills keeping the valley secure,
A valley full of farmland and pastures, fruit trees galore,
Rivers, streams and great highways meander through,
It seems as though wooded hills are looking after you.

They are not tall or stately like the mountains so strong,
But I feel that they deserve some sweet ballad or song,
They are like a gentle arms of a mother full of caring,
Watching over you day and night, ready with a warning.

Undulating and dressed in graceful trees of every kind,
Home to God’s creatures from a tiny shew to a timid hind,
Even many mighty moose wander there all the year round,
And except for winter the big black bear we can be found.

Small villages nestled within the hills tender sweet, love,
Wrapped in safety as myriads of stars shine from heaven above,
A fertile valley protected with care from those hills so free,
It would be a wonderful place to live in peace and tranquillity.
