THE BOUNTY OF SPRING
The morning mist came off the lake like a ghostly shroud,
The rising sun lit up the sky that was quite free from cloud,
The air was warm, a gentle breeze wafted blooming branches,
Caused the awakening flowers to toss in many pretty dances.
Some flowers now bloom, others still wait for petals to unfold,
Soon there will be a multicoloured carpet of red and gold
And other colours making a spring tapestry of fragrant delight,
Winter is taken over by sweet spring like the day does the night.
Today spring has surpassed herself with such warmth and beauty,
The change is like a gift that is full of some promised bounty,
A bounty of warmth and beauty, the bounty of true spring in the air,
A bounty of new growth and birth, a gift given to all everywhere.
It is a canopy of kindness showing Gods true never ending love,
For as spring comes it could be like glimpses of heaven above.
Just look all around you and marvel at all the refreshing rebirth,
Such wonderful feelings as we see and feel as spring fill the earth.
