PSALM - TRIALS AHEAD
One day the stony path we have to tread will be silk,
The briary hard road be like unto a sheet of gold,
The refiners fire will purge so we shine like silver
And the smiter then cover us with robes of satin.
Thorns that prick our flesh will bring a crown of glory
If we as His children endure all things well.
The blessing of heaven will shower upon us
Like the rain on the parched, thirsty earth,
And like the sweet dew that awakens the flowers,
For His kind understanding endures forever.
Hardship and suffering lead us into His light,
And He knows when our hearts are pure,
So accept with a smile and a resolute heart
The trials that come as we travel lifes way,
Then our dross will be gone and purer we stand,
Only then worthy in heaven to dwell.
