More poems about Spring

        SIGNS OF SPRING
I looked into the garden and to my surprise
Tulip buds were there right before my eyes,
Not just the pleasant green being leaves there
But many flowers bud waiting, beauty to share.

Then I noticed the chives, mint and parsley alive,
Through the cold winter the herbs did survive,
Look there is the rosemary, basil and the dill,
And my bleeding heart is there, what a thrill.

The grass is getting greener every single day,
The earth is still soggy from snow going away,
But all on her own the garden is doing well,
She is glad that sweet spring is here you can tell.

The only drawback that at the moment that I see,
The raccoons are back to our pain and misery,
For they dig up the green grass worms to seek,
A great deal of lawn damage they constantly reek.

A new fence at the back may help keep them out
Cover it with vines and climbing roses no doubt,
It will make the garden more pretty than before,
I bet the raccoons find a way through another door.
