LIFE WITHOUT CHRISTMAS
Life without Christmas would be such a sad thing,
Not just decorations, good food and the gifts that bring
Earthly happiness, but without the birth of that Baby Boy,
When angels came to the shepherds proclaimed their joy.
If no Saviour was born, how unhappy we would all be,
No stories of Jesus, no parables as told in far off Galilee,
No Redeemer come to save us from cruel death and sin,
No hope of salvation or being free of pain deep within.
I cannot imagine how sad and hopeless I would feel
If years ago, in Bethlehem, the heavens did not peal
With angels voices proclaiming the Saviours Holy birth,
A gift from heaven above, a gift of the greatest worth.
