ROSEBUDS AND FORGET-ME-NOTS
It is said that a bunch of rosebuds and forget-me-nots
is a sign of friendship true,
Maybe pale pink rosebuds would mingle well with
with deep forget-me-not blue,
I think when the flowers grow I’ll place a bunch
somewhere in my home
To let all who enter know this is a place of friendship
after a long weary roam.
Place it in the window that will then show that
no one will ever be turned away,
For in our home friendship is always around
forever to stay.
So to have a fragrant bunch of rosebuds and delicate
forget-me-nots of blue
Will tell all who enter they can become friends
and stay forever true.
