ANGEL VOICES
I was sitting in the temple and I am sure
I heard angels sing,
Like the distance sound of delicate bells such
comfort they did bring,
A sweet calm blest me as that heavenly choir
I did hear
It soothed my mind and healed my heart, those
sounds pure and clear,
One of the most wonderful feelings like a blanket
spread over me
As they sang so sweetly of the blessing of heaven
and of eternity.
Heaven seemed so close, those on the other side
just a breath away,
At that special moment all earthly things vanished and
a voice seemed to say
Words of sweet gratitude, words that came from
many a happy heart,
Thanking me with tremulous voices, begging that
more do their part.
I wish more could have heard that singing that filled
my heart with peace,
A sound I hope to hear again and pray the joy I felt
will never cease.
