PLACES
There is a place tucked away where few see
A lovely sweet glade by a stream running free,
Where the flowers in the summer fill the air
With a special fragrance hard to compare.

There is a row of tall birch trees by the stream,
A place to take a book or just to sit and dream,
Take or paint pictures of the many birds there,
A speck of Eden, just natures sounds everywhere.

There is a waterfall that dances in the summer sun,
Sings a gentle lullaby if you go when day is done,
Walking beneath is like seeing through a veil of tears,
That feeling seems to heal you of all your hurts and fears.

Many places lay hidden for all of us to try and find,
Places that touch the heart and also free the tired mind,
Pockets of peace and sweet solitude pockets of Paradise
You can seek and find them with little of earthly price.

Even in a big city hidden away somewhere you may find
Places of tranquillity to ease the pressure of the mind,
I have many places tucked away, far away and quite near,
Where I can go to Paradise and nature’s sounds just hear.
